The desert castles can be comfortably seen on a day-trip
or a two-day loop from Amman.By car: For the Desert Castles, take the Airport Road from Amman and head for Azrak. For the crusader castles, head south on the King's Highway. For both journeys, a good map is advisable (obtainable from the Ministry of tourism Third circle 642-311. Hours 8:00-2:00pm daily.)
